Semi by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup for Fog and Mørup, Denmark. Designed in 1968 when they where only students. Superb condition, this pendant is a perfect mirror in a discreet gold tone. 24-karat gold-plated edition, 1970s. 

The Semi, now a classic of mid-century modernism and Danish Modern design, is the Fog & Mørup's most iconic piece. Fog & Mørup also produced lamps for Holmegaard, Royal Copenhagen and Kaj Franck’s Arabia. In the late 70s, Fog & Mørup merged with Lyfa, another cult Danish modern lighting company.

Fog & Mørup was started in Denmark in 1904 by Ansgar Fog and E Mørup. They started to specialize in lighting in 1906 and opened their first lighting factory in 1915. After multiple factory expansions owing to 20 years of continuous success, Fog & Mørup became a principal actor in Danish modern lighting, locally and internationally, with the arrival of Jo Hammerborg as the design director. The modernism of the new Fog & Mørup attracted the best designers like Sophus Frandsen, Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup, Jørgen Bo, E Balslev, Karen and Ebbe Clemmensen, Sidse Werner, Hans Due and Peter Avondoglio.
